Maintenance Technician

This role of the Maintenance Technician is responsible for conducting general maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures.

Our ideal candidate will be a jack-of-all-trades, with in-depth knowledge of maintenance procedures, hydraulic systems, HVAC installations / repairs, and basic tools and appliances.

To excel in this position, you must be an outstanding problem-solver with exceptional communication and organizational skills.

Essential Functions and Duties :

• Inspect buildings, equipment, and systems to identify any issues.
• Repair faulty equipment units and damaged structures.
• Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance procedures.
• Manage heating and plumbing systems to guarantee functionality.
• Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.
• Perform general maintenance tasks including landscaping, painting, and carpentry.
• Maintain the inventory records for equipment and supplies.

Education, Certifications, and Qualifications :

• Previous working experience as a Maintenance Technician or similar role for 3+ years
• High school diploma
• Any additional relevant certification will be considered an advantage (HVAC, CMRP etc.)

Other Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :

• Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field is preferred. Advanced understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
• In depth knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
• Applicable knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
• Manual dexterity and attention to detail
• Problem solving aptitude
• Physically capable and available to work overtime including weekends, public holidays, and evenings.

Physical Demands and Work Environment :

Physical demands include, but are not limited to : sitting, bending, climbing stairs, extensive standing and walking around the warehouse.

Ability to lift / push / pull up to 50 lbs. Must be willing to work necessary hours to fulfill the needs of the job.
