Job Title :  EKG Telemetry Monitor Technician

Location :   Wausau, WI 54401

Contract Duration :  13 weeks

Shift :  12-hour  Nights

Job Description :

Hiring for an skilled  EKG Telemetry Monitor Technician  for a 13-week contract. This role involves centralized telemetry monitoring for both onsite and remote hospital units. The technician will watch and interpret cardiac telemetry using  GE CareScapes , documenting and communicating pertinent data to nursing staff.

Key Responsibilities :

Monitor and interpret telemetry for approx. 40 patients / shift across 4 sites

Communicate critical cardiac rhythms and changes to Registered Nurses

Utilize EPIC for electronic charting

Support both on-site and off-site telemetry monitoring

Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain a high level of clinical vigilance

Job Requirements

Requirements : Certifications :

BLS (AHA or ARC)  –  Required

Certified Telemetry Technician  –  Preferred

Must pass  EKG test within 3 days of offer acceptance

Experience :

Minimum 1 year  of current inpatient acute care hospital experience –  Required

Experience with  centralized monitoring  –  Required

At least 1 prior travel assignment  –  Highly preferred

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in  GE CareScapes  and  EPIC EMR  –  Required
