Duties
Assist dentist as needed, including assisting in 4-handed dentistry e.g. instrument set up, materials, sterilization, imaging, etc.
including updating / coordinating with dentist daily.
- Greet and prepare patients for treatments ensuring their comfort and post-operative care instructions and timely follow-up.
- Manage patient scheduling, accurate record keeping, insurance processing, payment processing and follow-up.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as dental assistant with knowledge of dental office operations and regulations (experience as dental assistant for periodontist or dental surgeon ideal.
- Experience with dental record keeping and insurance claims processing (Mac Practice experience is ideal).
- Good computer skills with attention to detail required (Mac Practice, Weave, 3Shape would be an asset).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a small team environment.
- Additional certification or training desirable (e.g., imaging / radiographs, Certified Dental Assistant).
Current Schedule
Monday to Thursday (Patients' schedule 9am to 4 : 30pm). NO WEEKENDS
