Job Objective
Responsible for overall management and operations of the store, staff, merchandise and customer service. The Store Manager is also responsible for achieving sales objectives, maintaining and achieving high operational and merchandising standards and goals, building highly motivated teams and developing associates to the next level.
STORE MANAGER Job Responsibilities
Sales Generation :
- Meet sales goals
- Analyze sales reports and data to determine the needs of the business and set business strategies
- Set individual sales goals for sales associates, ensuring goals reflect store business goals
- Continuously motivate sales staff to meet assigned sales and productivity goals
- Support the development associate selling techniques, ensuring utilization of elevated levels of service to maximize sales
- Demonstrate sales leadership for staff by playing an active role on the selling floor and being of the top sellers of the team
- Collaborate with Supervisor and Marketing team to identify marketing opportunities to support sales.
- Develop events / incentives that will continue to grow customer base, with particular emphasis on building local market presence
- Ensure the entire team can understand and analyze the company’s KPI reports in order to improve the performance and ranking of the store and their individual performance.
Customer Service :
Ensure all associates provide the highest level of customer serviceEnsure staff maintains constant client communication through utilizing store clients record bookManage client database and utilize information to increase sales and client contactResolve all client problems and complaints quickly and effectivelyAssist sales associates with various customer service issues i.e. dissatisfied customers, returns, defective merchandiseInitiate and manage all special events inclusive of collection previews, client events, sale events, etc.Empower associates to make decisions in the customer’s best interest that also support the company’s philosophyOperations :
Ensure facility maintenance, presentation and organizationEnsure cash control procedures are properly followed including : bank deposits, safe funds and petty cashControl store expenses and maintain budgets, continually striving to reduce costsSchedule associates to maintain adequate floor coverage while maintaining payroll budgetsEnsure deliveries are properly processed in a timely mannerMonitor the movement of all inventory and ensure that staff adheres to all transferring / receiving policies and proceduresMeet inventory accuracy and shrink requirementsEnsure staff is trained in all areas of appropriate POS usage and maintenanceUnderstand and properly execute all management POS functionsSupport, promote and assume responsibility for loss prevention in all areas of risk management, physical security, store cash controls, inventory management, inter-store communicationBuild and maintain good communication with members of corporate office and other storesMerchandising / Visual :
Implement and maintain all merchandising directives and ensure execution of effective merchandising strategiesPartner with logistics, merchandise teams and supervisor to ensure appropriate assortment for the storeEnsure the selling floor is neat, clean, organized and reflects the correct visual guidelines at all timesEnsure presentation of all displays, fixtures and all visual areas are reflective of current visual directionIdentify and communicate product concerns in a timely mannerCommunicate inventory needs to support the business goalHuman Resources :
Recruit, train and develop staff ensuring all positions are filled in a timely manner with qualified personnelSupport, implement and provide follow-up for all training programs, seminars, etc.Continually evaluate the performance of each associate and provide constant feedback to ensure resultsResolve all human resources issues in a timely and effective manner, partnering with HR when necessaryEnsuring integrity of payroll and the payroll processEnsure image and grooming standards are professional, reflective of the brand image and adhered to at all timesDesired Skills / Experience :
At least 5 years of retail experience with 2-3 years in managing a storeProficient with Microsoft Office software including Work, Excel, PowerPoint and OutlookStrong verbal and written communication skills and excellent organizational skillsAbility to analyse selling reports and react quickly to the business trendsExperience in proactively planning and executing events and marketing activationsExperience recruiting, building and developing a teamFlexibility to work a retail schedule, which includes evening, weekends and holidaysEntrepreneurial drive
