Field Service Technician Entry - Level I - San Angelo, TX

Overview : Assists with maintenance and repair activities on gas compression and / or process equipment at customer's location, as directed.

Essential Duties :

• Maintains a safe and well-organized work environment.
• Works with others to perform Call Outs (CO), Preventative Maintenance (PM), Major Maintenance (MM), Overhauls and MOB / DEMOB.
• Performs Call Outs (CO) with assistance from a technical expert. Learns to diagnose and repair mechanical problems on multiple compressor configurations.
• Completes and submits required documentation in an accurate and timely fashion.

Non-Essential Duties : Performs other duties as assigned.

Ability to :

• Perform all essential duties.

• Read, write and speak English (work orders, manuals, etc.)

• Use basic computer skills, including Internet Explorer and Outlook.
• Respond to afterhours request regularly on an on call basis.

Knowledge :

• Knowledge of or training in relevant HSE procedures and regulations.
• General mechanical knowledge.
• Basic knowledge of electronics.

Minimum Education and Certification :

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
• Gas or diesel engine and compressor school / training preferred.

Minimum Experience :

Demonstrated mechanical experience.
