1.0 FTE - Day Shift - 7 AM - 5 : 30 PM

Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in Speech-language Pathology from a CAA-accredited program
  • Certified with Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) by ASHA, Clinical Fellow candidates also encouraged to apply
  • Licensed or eligible for licensure with the state of Minnesota
  • BLS certification within 90 days of hire
  • Experience with dysphagia and neurological disorders preferred
  • Experience with pediatrics preferred
  • Excellent coaching and verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness to work with patients across the full age spectrum, including pediatric, adult, and geriatric

Competencies :

  • Demonstrates thorough knowledge of normal and pathologic anatomy and physiology.
  • Exhibits high level of skill in differential diagnosis process and clinical decision making.
  • Effectively utilizes EHR.
  • Effectively assess outcomes, both functional and patient reported.

Job Responsibilities :

  • Diagnosing, treating, and preventing speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Creating treatment and therapy plans to suit the individualized needs of a diverse population of patients.
  • Performing screenings appropriate to speech disorders, swallowing, and cognition.
  • Educating patients and family members about speech disorders and causes, including disabilities and traumatic events.
  • Keeping detailed records relating to patient conditions, care plans, therapies, and progress.
  • Reporting progress and current status to appropriate parties, which may include family members, teachers, or medical professionals.
  • Other duties as assigned.
