The Account Manager manages, maintains and expands client accounts to develop, enhance and solidify relationships with clients through exceptional customer service and provide professional insurance services with the coordination of Producers, Underwriters, Service Team members and other departments.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Maintains consistent and continuousmunication with assigned clients to provide needed information, creative solutions, and resolution of issues for clients
- Manages clients' day to day service needs by working with team members to ensure requests are met
- Understands carriers' rating processes and performs contract review of coverage terms
- Requests renewal information and updates applications and market accounts
- Proactively analyzes each account to ensureprehensive coverage is provided
- Preparesparisons for rmended coverage, facilitates opportunities for account rounding, and negotiates renewal terms
- Invoices endorsements and policies, allocates premiums and manages audit and accounting adjustments
- Works directly with Producers, Underwriters, Clients, Service Team and other departments to maintain current information in the agency management system
- Initiates periodic visits to clients to ensure high levels of client satisfaction and to provide additional coverage options and / or account rounding opportunities
- Ensures accuracy, proper handling and appropriate distribution of binders, policies, endorsements and other requests from clients
- Coordinates services with Loss Control provider
- Participates and assists with policyholders' claim filings
- Participates in continuing education to maintain P&C license, stay current regulations and enhance insurance knowledge
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE :
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum of 2-4 years of experience required
- P&C License required
- Industry certification preferred and required for advancement
SKILLS & ABILITIES :
- Excellentmunication skills, including listening, speaking and writing

- Must have transportation to travel between offices, to event locations and other required destinations and must maintain a valid driver's license;
must be able to provide his / her own vehicle and will be reimbursed for mileage

PHYSICAL DEMANDS :

Employee typically performs the majority of their work from their desk, and is required to use aputer and telephone. Work is generally performed in a quiet office environment, but frequent travel to various office and client locations is regularly required.
