The Database Administrator is responsible for the performance, integrity, and security of IDT's SQL Server infrastructure. This position works with developers, infrastructure administrators, and end users to ensure performant delivery of data supporting core business operations.

This position reports to the Manager of Data Services and is part of the Data Services team l ocated in Coralville and will be an on-site role

In this role, you will have the opportunity to :

Administer a broad SQL Server environment comprising ~50 instances and ~150 TB of data

Monitor SQL Server utilization and provide recommendations to meet IDT's evolving needs

Assist internal development teams to design and deploy accurate and performant T-SQL

Formulate policies, procedures, and standards relating to database management

Work with independent software vendors to meet their data needs while also maintaining IDT's standards for security and integrity

The essential requirements of the job include :

Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree in a related field with equivalent experience.

5+ years of experience in a similar role administering SQL Server.

3+ years of experience administering SQL Server 2012 or later.

1+ year of experience administering SQL Server Availability Groups, Replication, and Clustering.

Proven experience collaborating within cross-functional teams composed of both technical and non-technical personnel.

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in :

Administering SQL Server backups using Rubrik Security Cloud
