About The Position
Job Title : Emergency Room Registered Nurse Job Specialty : Emergency Room Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night 4x12-Hour (17 : 45 - 06 : 15) Guaranteed Hours : Client may call-off up to 36 hours per thirteen-week assignment without pay Experience : Minimum 3 years required License : Active IL license in hand or in application process Certifications : ACLS, BLS, PALS required;
TNCC preferred Must-Have : - Cerner experience- General Emergency Department-Combined Adult / Pediatric experience - Community Hospital experience Job Description : Work in a 22-bed unit with a ratio of 1 : 4 for all shifts- Manage approximately 65 visits per day- Required skills in cardiac monitoring and emergency response : - Interpretation and management of dysrhythmias - Management of patients with multisystem organ dysfunction / failure - Obtain 12 lead EKG- Required IV therapy and phlebotomy skills : - Blood product administration - Central line care / management - Starting IVs- Required medication skills : - Continuous IV sedation - Emergency medications - IV vasopressors - Procedural sedation administration- Required neurological case skills : - CVA (Cerebrovascular Accident)- Required pediatric case skills : - Abdominal pain - Asthma - Identifying and reporting abuse - Infections - Mental / behavioral health conditions - Respiratory infections - Seizures - Urinary tract infections- Required psychiatric case skills : - Acute psychosis - Drug overdose - Managing violent behavior - Suicidal patient- Required respiratory case skills : - Chest tube insertion / management - Ventilated patients- Required professional topics and skills : - Isolation precautions - Triage- Weekend work required every other weekend in a six-week schedule, no weekend time-off requests approved- Possible floating within the scope to meet facility needs- Discuss schedule requests with the manager- Required to work 2 out of 3 major holidays- Flu vaccine required with medical / religious exemptions only- Solid color scrubs required
