Our team is comprised of a dynamic group of product designers, researchers, visual designers, industrial designers, modelers, and project managers.

In this position...

You will help define and design next generation Intelligent Ford Vehicles powered by emerging ML, AI and robotics.

You are prepared to take risks and champion massive changes to how customer experience software defined vehicles of the future.

Your sought out expertise will help establish multimodal AI design best practices at Ford including the voice and animatronics design disciplines.

What you'll do

Prototype and design new AI driven features, experiences and improvements to our products while ensuring they align with brand and business objectives, research and user needs.

Partner with brand leaders to define base ML systems and corresponding AI expressions like personality, TTS voice, dialogue, light, sound, motion, etc.

of next generation Ford intelligence vehicles.

Prototype compelling interfaces and interaction flows for new voice and multimodal applications using VoiceFlow, Figma, Bottango, ProtoPie or other UX tools.

Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Feature Teams to ensure and seamless transition from concept diagrams to implementation specifications.

Work with partners in R&D, data science, and data mining teams to asses gaps in existing systems and inform algorithm design with the measurable moments of an experience.

Inform model selection and define human centered parameters of new experiments.

Manage timelines and deliverables with stakeholders and leadership.

You'll have...

Bachelors degree or a combination of education and equivalent experience.

Proficient in multimodal and voice AI design with 4+ years of experience.

High performing prototyping ability (e.g. VoiceFlow, Figma, Protopie, Bottango or similar).

Experience working on iterative product design cycles.

Prior work in data driven design for machine learning and robotics devices.

Ability to demonstrate work done for products that have shipped.

Even better, you may have

Familiarity with agentive systems design.

Sensitivity to AI ethics, data ethics, customer privacy and trust.

Proficient in human centered design methods and techniques.

Excellent written, oral and visual presentation skills.

Automotive UI / HMI design is a plus.

Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
