Job Description :
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Interpreter to support students with speech and language disorders in a school environment.
The Speech-Language Interpreter will facilitate communication between students with speech and language impairments and their peers, teachers, and staff, ensuring that students can fully participate in their educational activities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Provide interpretation services for students with speech and language impairments during classroom instruction, meetings, and school activities.
- Help students understand and engage with classroom content and social interactions.
- Facilitate communication between students and educational staff, ensuring clear and effective understanding.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and SLPs to address students' needs and progress.
- Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while working with sensitive information.
Qualifications :
- Certification or training in speech-language interpreting.
- Experience in a school or educational setting preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Patience, empathy, and a commitment to supporting students' educational and communication needs.
