Profile : A law firm based in New York City is seeking a skilled Lateral Corporate - M&A / Private Equity Associate Attorney to join their M&A and Private Equity teams.
The candidate will provide legal counsel to corporate clients and private equity funds on acquisitions, dispositions, minority investments, and general corporate matters.
Job Overview :
- Advise corporate clients and private equity funds on M&A transactions and general corporate matters.
- Handle drafting transaction documents and managing deals effectively.
- Provide legal advice and support on M&A transactions and private equity deals.
- Draft and review transaction documents.
- Assist in negotiations with clients and counterparties.
Requirements :
- Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the New York State Bar.
- 5-7 years of experience in corporate law, with a focus on M&A transactions and private equity.
- Strong understanding of corporate law and market terms.
- Significant experience in drafting transaction documents and managing deals.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
Certifications :
Admission to the New York State Bar.
