Location : Taa, Washington
Job Description :
We are seeking a qualified Sign Language Interpreter to join our team in Taa, Washington. The Sign Language Interpreter will facilitate munication between deaf or hard of hearing students and their hearing peers, teachers, and staff.
They will provide interpretation services in educational settings to ensure access to academic and extracurricular activities.
Responsibilities :
- Provide sign language interpretation for deaf or hard of hearing students in classrooms, meetings, and school events.
- Ensure accurate munication between all parties involved.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to support student success.
- Maintain confidentiality of all interpreted information.
- Stay current with advances in sign language and interpreting techniques.
Qualifications :
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification from the Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf (RID) or equivalent.
- Washington State Educational Staff Associate (ESA) certification as a Sign Language Interpreter, or the ability to obtain certification within a specified time frame.
- Experience working as a sign language interpreter in educational settings is preferred.
- Strong munication and interpersonal skills.
