Description : Job Summary : The Apprentice Operating Engineer is a four year training program that combines college-level course work with on-the-job training to develop the knowledge and skills to become a licensed journeyman operating engineer.
This program is registered with the Oregon State Bureau of Labor & Industries.Essential Responsibilities : Note : All duties listed below must be performed in the presence and under the guidance of a Journeyman Operating Engineer.
Responds to and resolves emergency maintenance calls. Performs corrective maintenance as required.Performs preventive maintenance on plant equipment, physical structure and associated equipment including, but not limited to, HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire & life safety systems.
Responds to routine service requests and performs work required.Utilizes CMMS to properly document all maintenance & repair work performed.
Assists with coordination of contractors and service providers.Perform other duties as assigned. Basic Qualifications : Experience N / A Education High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) required.
License, Certification, Registration Drivers License (in location where applicable) Additional Requirements : N / A Preferred Qualifications : Some experience in maintenance and repair of buildings, equipment and / or systems.
