Position : Corporate Partnerships Intern

Location : Onsite Preferred - North Carolina Central Athletics (Durham, NC)

Hours : 20-25 hours per week minimum

Duration : January 13th, 2025 - May 2nd, 2025

Company Overview :

Peak Sports MGMT is a leading third-party multimedia rights organization specializing in partnering with college athletic departments to optimize their corporate partnerships.

In collaboration with 25+ athletic departments across the country, Peak Sports MGMT is tasked with overseeing and generating all of the corporate partnerships and sponsorship revenue as the multimedia rights holder of their Athletic Department.

We excel in maximizing brand exposure, revenue generation, and partnership fulfillment for our clients, helping them achieve their financial and strategic advertising objectives

Position Overview :

Peak Sports MGMT is actively looking for quality individuals to work from various locations across the United States to fill our Corporate Partnerships Intern positions.

This position will help manage and assist sales operations for the property, assist with client fulfillment, sales proposals, Peak Sports MGMT inventory system, game day hospitality and client interaction, as well as other sponsor events throughout the year under the appointed Director of Sales and Director of Service at your location.

The Corporate Partnership Intern will work closely with their designated property to support the selling cycle, assist in identifying and acquiring new local corporate partners, contribute to the decision-making process regarding potential partnerships, and participate in the creative marketing and game day activation aspects of corporate partnerships.

This internship provides an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports marketing, sales, and corporate relations within a dynamic college athletic environment.

Key Responsibilities :

Training Program :

  • Participate in a structured training program designed to provide comprehensive insights into the corporate partnership sales process.
  • Learn from experienced professionals through interactive workshops, presentations, and one-on-one coaching sessions.
  • Gain a deep understanding of sales techniques, negotiation strategies, and best practices for cultivating and closing corporate partnerships.

Sales Support :

  • Assist the Corporate Partnership Team in the sales process, including researching and identifying potential local corporate partners.
  • Participate in outreach efforts to prospective partners through calls, emails, and meetings.
  • Support the preparation of sales presentations and proposals.

Decision-Making Involvement :

  • Be an active participant in brainstorming sessions and strategy meetings regarding potential new corporate partners.
  • Provide input and insights to help evaluate the suitability and potential of prospective partners.

Creative Marketing :

  • Assist in developing creative marketing strategies and campaigns to promote partnerships and enhance partner visibility.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to create promotional materials, social media content, and other marketing collateral.

Game Day Fulfillment and Activation :

  • Help plan and execute game day activities related to corporate partnerships, including in-stadium signage, promotions, and activations.
  • Coordinate with various departments to ensure smooth execution of partner activations on game days.
  • Assist in managing corporate partner hospitality areas and ensure partner satisfaction during events.

Administrative Support :

  • Maintain accurate records of partnership activities and communications.
  • Assist in compiling reports and analyzing the effectiveness of partnership activities and campaigns.

Qualifications :

  • Strong interest in sales, marketing, and the sports industry, with a desire to pursue a career in corporate partnerships.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate ideas and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Highly motivated, proactive, and eager to learn, with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work independently as well as part of a team.
