What you get to do :
- Develops and maintains safety programs for all State / Federal occupational safety / health regulations.
- Provide and maintain training and compliance with the various safety and health programs required by Cal / Fed OSHA and the SEA Standards.
- Coordinates with departmental management for safety inspections, audits and the timely completion of accident investigations for employee injuries.
- Oversees the monthly and annual fire extinguisher inspection process with in-house technician and contracted vendor.
- Audit facility practices and records periodically to ensure compliance with SEA, State / Federal Safety / Health regulations.
- Report and review accident / near miss incidents monthly with EHS, Department and Park leadership
- Co-chair monthly safety committee meeting to share updates, upcoming events and trends with departmental safety representatives.
- Monitor upcoming construction tasks and phases and meet regularly with job-site supervision.
- Responds to requests for discovery by legal.
- Works closely with other departments and Senior Leadership to ensure safe work practices.
- Ensures accurate timekeeping.
- Provides coaching and written corrective action as needed and partners with manager to administer serious level corrective action.
- Listens and responds to employee concerns and positively resolves workplace issues.
- Coordinates the delivery of annual performance reviews and ongoing performance feedback as needed.
- Communicates effectively, leads daily work meetings, positively conveys company priorities and upcoming events, attends leadership safety meetings and general safety sensitive meetings, and partners with departments to participate in department level safety meetings.
- Spends and forecasts within assigned labor and expense budget.
- Schedules and adjusts labor per budget.
- Maintains a safe work environment and ensures safe work practices are followed and ensures employees receive all required safety training, equipment and supplies.
- Other duties as assigned.
What it takes to succeed :
- Theme park experience preferred.
- Must have safety / occupational health related experience.
- OSHA 30-Hour General Industry, OSHA 510 and OSHA 500 prefered
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
- Must have and maintain a valid California driver’s license.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent safety related experience.
- Must have knowledge of company, local, state and federal requirements.
- Must be able to effectively present information to senior leadership.
- Must have strong analytical aptitude and organizational skills.
- Must be able to generate technical reports.
Compensation :
27.00 per hour
