Registered Nurse (RN) Med Surg Oncology Dept - Full Time Nights at Texas Health Resources

Fast-paced, high volume Med Surg Oncology department is looking for top skilled nurses. Is that you?-

Work location : Texas Health Fort Worth, 1301 Pennsylvania Ave. Fort Worth, TX 76104

Work hours : Full Time(7P-7A) 36 hour work week - Rotating Weekends / Holidays

• Fast-Paced, high-volume Oncology Department (35 bed) . Patients are admitted to this floor for multiple diseases such as Leukemia, Sepsis, Lymphoma, Melanoma, Breast, Kidney / Pancreatic Cancers, pain management and med / surg overflow

Here's What You Need

• Associate degree from an accredited Nursing program or Nursing Diploma Required
• BSN preferred
• One-year experience as a clinical nurse, or completion of an RN residency program.
• Current RN licensure or compact licensure recognized by the Texas Board of Nursing upon hire
• Current BLS (required) -prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly.
• CPI training within 90 days of hire (required)
• 2+ years of inpatient oncology RN experience and charge / preceptor skills (preferred)
• Successful completion of the ONS - Chemotherapy / Biotherapy Certificate within 6 months of hire required
• OCN - Oncology Certified Nurse within 2 years of hire preferred

What You Will Do

Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• Assesses the patient
• Plans the care of the patient
• Intervenes as appropriate
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions
• Incorporates age specific safety / infection control measures into patient care.
• Initiates action to meet patient and / or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
