What You'll Do

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our Retirement and Income Solutions (RIS) team. In this role, you'll work in an Agile environment to provide the best customer experience for our clients through innovative technology platforms while building out cloud capabilities with AWS.

You'll also have the opportunity to improve our employee end user experience!

As the member of the team, you will :

• Collaborate, mob, pair, and work closely with your team members to design, develop, test, deploy, maintain & meet our shared goals
• Contribute and explore working with AWS and cloud technologies to augment our speed to market capabilities and build highly scalable systems
• Work in an Agile environment with a focus on automated testing
• Contribute to the culture of being open to sharing ideas and celebrating creativity
• Work with business partners and other varied perspectives to collectively build top notch experiences and systems
• Demonstrate your passion for solving problems and producing high quality solutions to improve customer-centered experiences

Who You Are

Who You Are

• Associate's or bachelor's degree, preference in a computer science, technology, engineering or math-related field or equivalent experience
• 1+ years of experience with web technologies & other frameworks (JavaScript / Java / React / SQL / Typescript) preferred
• Proficiency with database applications, distributed and / or web programming language
• Proven familiarity with AWS / Cloud Technologies
• Experience with CI / CD
• Understanding of API Standard processes
• Ability to obtain certification(s) in an IT related field is a plus
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies

Skills That Will Help You Stand Out

• Self-starter and able to learn about new technologies independently
• Basic knowledge of insurance and financial services products preferred
• Excellent planning, organizational, problem-solving, analytical, decision-making and communication skills required
• Basic leadership skills preferred
• Ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality

Salary Range Information

Salary ranges below reflect targeted base salaries. Non-sales positions have the opportunity to participate in a bonus program.

Sales positions are eligible for sales incentives, and in some instances a bonus plan, whereby total compensation may far exceed base salary depending on individual performance.

Actual compensation for all roles will be based upon geographic location, work experience, education, licensure requirements and / or skill level and will be finalized at the time of offer.

Salary Range (Non-Exempt expressed as hourly; Exempt expressed as yearly)

$60000 - $82000 / year

Time Off Program

Flexible Time Off (FTO) is provided to salaried (exempt) employees and provides the opportunity to take time away from the office with pay for vacation, personal or short-term illness.

Employees don't accrue a bank of time off under FTO and there is no set number of days provided.

Work Environments

This role offers an in-office and hybrid (blending at least three office days in a typical workweek) work arrangement in Des Moines, IA.

Hours

This role will partner with our global teams and has an expectation for flexibility in your work schedule to have a frequent start time around 7 : 30 am CST.
