We are urgently hiring a Machine Maintenance Mechanic on day shift, for one of the areas largest manufacturing facilities.

This role is responsible for the maintenance of machines and building equipment to ensure consistent productivity and at the highest safety standards.

Duties and Responsibilities :

• Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment.
• Connect and rewire electrical wires to machines based on specifications.
• Perform checks and balances on machines to ensure proper wiring.
• Replace, repair, and calibrate machine components regularly.
• Inspect, test, and adjust systems, machinery, and equipment.
• Record inspections, tests, and repairs on maintenance stickers.
• Respond to safety and security calls related to machinery.
• Plan and layout work from blueprints, diagrams, and manuals.
• Disassemble and reassemble equipment using hand and power tools.
• Inspect damaged parts and perform necessary repairs.
• Install special functional and structural parts and equipment.
• Set up new machines to wiring systems.
• Record written recommendations for repair work.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• High school diploma or GED; 1-2 years of related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
• Proficiency in basic math, including the ability to compute rates, ratios, and percentages.
• Ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and solve problems.
• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel.

Equipment Used :

• Forklift, pallet jack, snow blower, plow, lawn tractor
• Power tools including saws, nail guns, drills, grinders
• Company pick-up truck

Certificates and Licenses :

• Forklift training certification
• Valid driver’s license

Work Environment :

• Regular exposure to dust and sawdust
• Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions
• Usually loud noise level

Physical Demands :

• Occasionally lift and / or move up to 60 pounds
• Regular use of hands
• Frequent standing, walking, and talking / hearing
• Occasional sitting and reaching with hands and arms
