Position Description

Rachel Contracting is seeking qualified applicants for a Fleet Manager. Rachel Contracting is a specialty site-work contractor performing earthwork, demolition and utilities primarily in the Midwest / Central US region.

Responsibilities and Tasks :

• Emphasize safety as Rachel’s number one value.
• Market analysis of equipment, auction values, rental pricing.
• Develop and manage strategic moves and recommendations for company equipment fleet including purchasing, maintaining, sourcing, selling, renting, and tracking utilizing detailed notes and equipment values.
• Coordinate repair of construction equipment.
• Administer and manage Fleet Software.
• Manage equipment numbering, licensing, and DOT inspections.
• Monitor equipment use for damage and verify that equipment damage is reported utilizing the appropriate incident report documentation.
• Management and tracking of small tools and attachments. Implement and monitor check-in / check-out of small tools.
• Research new technologies and equipment capabilities.
• Monitor company vehicles and accessory purchases.
• Review and approve weekly invoices.
• Manage and monitor storage areas and pits.
• Administer the programs and policies of Rachel.

Position Requirements

Position Qualification Preferences :

• Minimum of 10 years of diversified experience related to heavy civil construction equipment fleet management.
• Strong oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, ability to be a team leader under challenging conditions, proven problem-solving skills and ability to manage multiple tasks.
