Job Summary
Summary : Direct the activities of associates during a specific shift and oversee that assigned job expectations are completed while policy and procedure is maintained.
Job Responsibilities :
- Ensures appropriate functions, duties, and procedures as directed by Warehouse Management.
- Receives, unloads, moves and loads merchandise.
- Maintains Purchasing system (Birchstreet experience preferred).
- Verifies correct counts of items received and notes discrepancies or damages.
- Issues and delivers items to the proper destination and obtains signatures to document delivery and receipt.
- Maintains proper storage of inventory merchandise to avoid spills or spoilage, rotates stock according to schedule.
- Maintains work area in a safe and proper manner, reports any unsafe and hazardous conditions.
- Manages and maintains stock control, including : plans future needs and adjusts par levels, processes stock orders, controls dead stock, maintains delivery schedules.
- Ensures FIFO system is used to minimize waste.
- Operate forklift or pallet jack or light utility cart when necessary. Job training provided.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements :
- Lifts and transports up to 75lbs.
- Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- Basic English writing, reading and math.
- 2 years minimum Leadership Skills
