Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and / or education, and location. This position is also eligible for an annual bonus.

Summary

The Sr. Mortgage Loan Officer will primarily originate qualified and non-qualified residential real estate loan transactions that are referred from within the Bank's Sales Division.

The Sr. Mortgage Loan Officer may also generate business through direct marketing efforts to outside sources such as Realtors, builders, attorneys, accountants, advisors, and their own book of business.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Complies with and stays abreast of all policies and procedures, consumer regulatory requirements, federal and state laws applicable to the job.
  • Responsible for networking internally with our financial centers and Relationship Managers to uncover residential financing opportunities for primary and second homes, as well as, investment properties from 1-4 units.
  • Responsible for Bank lead fulfillment in their respective market.
  • Assist customers in understanding residential loan programs and pricing.
  • Gain customer commitment on qualified loan products to begin loan process.
  • Work with customers, explain expectations and request all required loan documentation.
  • Evaluate personal and corporate tax returns to calculate income.
  • Pre-qualify loan applications through understanding of program guidelines.
  • Originate loan application, request and gather all borrower documentation, and submit to loan processor. Utilization of Encompass for application collection and upload of underwriting information.
  • Frequent communication updates to borrower and referral source regarding transaction status and timing.
  • Continual marketing to internal and external referral sources.
  • Update pipeline report, Encompass notes and NextGen, as necessary, to maintain loan reporting standards.
  • Provide, present and promote The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and / or training;

or equivalent combination of education and experience.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry, and interpret bar graphs.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS

  • Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance as required by law.
  • Registered MLO.

Salary Range : $55,169.00 To 75,857.00 Annually
