Medical Technologist performs professional laboratory work following established clinic procedures and performs chemical and biological tests on patient specimens for medical diagnosis.
Responsibilities
- Conduct chemical analysis of body fluids, including blood, urine, or spinal, to determine presence of normal or abnormal components
- Collect biological specimens from patients
- Operate, calibrate, and maintain equipment used in quantitative or qualitative analysis
- Enter data from analysis of medical tests or clinical results into computer for storage
Requirements :
- Bachelor of Science degree in a health-related or scientific field is required;
- Bachelor of Science degree in Medical Technology is preferred.
- Prior lab experience required; 3 to 5 years preferred
