Job Description :

The Construction Manager at French Brothers is responsible for overseeing all aspects of construction, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

This role involves managing personnel, sourcing vendors and trades, overseeing community maintenance, coordinating community events, and ensuring team accountability to achieve cycle rates and construction goals.

This job description may not encompass the entire scope of this role, as other duties may be assigned by management.

Duties / Responsibilities :

  • Personnel Management :
  • Lead and manage construction teams, including subcontractors and trades, to achieve target goals.
  • Develop and implement work schedules, ensuring all personnel are aligned with project timelines.
  • Provide guidance, training, and support to team members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Vendor and Trade Sourcing :
  • Assist in sourcing new vendors and trades as market conditions and project needs dictate.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with vendors and subcontractors to ensure competitive pricing and quality workmanship.
  • Maintain strong relationships with existing vendors while actively seeking new partnerships.
  • Community Maintenance Management :
  • Oversee the overall maintenance of the community, ensuring all properties and common areas are well-maintained and up to the company's standards.
  • Coordinate with builders to address issues promptly and efficiently.
  • Implement preventive maintenance to enhance community appearance.
  • Homeowner Updates and Communication :
  • Review and monitor homeowner updates weekly, ensuring timely and accurate communication with homeowners.
  • Address any concerns or requests from homeowners, providing excellent customer service and maintaining a positive relationship with the community.
  • Community Events Coordination :
  • Plan and coordinate community events to engage homeowners and promote a strong sense of community.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure successful execution of events, including budgeting, logistics, and marketing.
  • Cycle Rate and Performance Accountability :
  • Hold team members accountable to achieve established cycle rates and construction goals.
  • Monitor and evaluate project progress, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.

Required Skills / Abilities :

  • Proven experience in construction management or a related field.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT :

  • Continually required to utilize hand and finger dexterity.
  • Continually utilize visual acuity to operate equipment, read technical information, and / or use the keyboard.
  • Continually required to talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to stand.
  • Occasionally required to walk.
  • Occasionally required to lift / push / carry items up to 20 pounds.
  • Will be required to travel.
