To do that, we’re bringing on a senior retail demand planning leader with deep domain expertise and strong technical fluency in Python — someone who can blend real-world retail understanding with data-driven forecasting systems.

About the Role

As Head of Demand Planning Intelligence, you’ll define how modern retail planning intelligence operates — across demand forecasting, inventory optimization, and supply chain alignment.

You’ll partner with the leadership and engineering teams to refine how our models interpret real-world drivers, how forecasts flow into inventory and replenishment decisions, and how retailers can act on these insights with confidence.

This is a strategic and hands-on role for someone who can both lead and code — guiding the evolution of a product that’s nearly market-ready into one that sets the standard for enterprise retail forecasting.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Domain Leadership :

  • Own the retail forecasting and inventory intelligence vision across demand, supply, and replenishment planning.
  • Translate deep retail operational knowledge — from promotions to logistics — into actionable models and product requirements.
  • Define what “forecasting that drives the business” means for retail customers at scale.

Exogenous Factor & Forecast Design :

  • Identify and model key external drivers — pricing, promotions, holidays, weather, regional events, and macro trends — that impact demand and inventory flow.
  • Use Python to prototype new data features, validate model behavior, and analyze cross-effects between demand signals and supply outcomes.

    • Inventory & Supply Chain Impact :

  • Shape how forecast outputs inform inventory allocation, replenishment, and supply chain optimization.
  • Define metrics and decision frameworks that connect demand forecasts to practical inventory actions.
  • Partner with product and engineering to ensure end-to-end visibility — from forecast accuracy to fulfillment reliability.

    • Customer & Market Engagement

  • Work directly with enterprise retail and CPG clients to validate model logic, align workflows, and drive adoption.
  • Support go-to-market teams with credible insights into how forecasting intelligence improves supply chain efficiency and ROI.
  • Represent the company as a thought leader in AI-driven retail planning and inventory management.

    • Qualifications

    Must-Have :

  • 10+ years of experience in retail demand planning, inventory optimization, or supply chain management.
  • Proven success leading forecasting or planning transformation initiatives in large retail or CPG organizations.
  • Strong Python skills — able to analyze time series data, prototype forecasting logic, and validate model performance.
  • Deep understanding of how exogenous factors drive retail demand and inventory movement.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills; able to influence across product, data science, and commercial teams.

    • Nice-to-Have :

  • Experience with enterprise planning tools (SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, RELEX, Anaplan).
  • Familiarity with ML forecasting techniques and evaluation metrics.
  • Background across multiple retail verticals (e.g., apparel, grocery, e-commerce, CPG).
  • Working knowledge of SQL, BI tools, or supply chain analytics platforms.
