Gecko Hospitality is now searching for an experienced and motivated Sous Chef in Downtown Denver. The ideal Sous Chef should oversee kitchen operations, uphold culinary standards, display a passion for hospitality, foster team connections, and exhibit problem-solving skills in a supportive work environment.

Responsibilities :

  • Supervise daily kitchen operations, train and support staff.
  • Maintain culinary standards, oversee food production, ordering, cost control.
  • Demonstrate passion for hospitality through excellent service, product knowledge.
  • Foster team connections for collaborative teamwork.
  • Utilize problem-solving skills, multitasking abilities for effective leadership.

Compensation and Benefits :

  • Salary : up to $60,000

Requirements :

  • Minimum of 2-3 years current experience as a salaried Sous Chef in a Full Service or Upscale Casual restaurant.
  • High volume background - must have Sous Chef experience in restaurants doing over $4 million in sales per year.
  • Ability to maintain high levels of food quality, consistency, and hygiene.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Hands-on with hiring, training, and developing hourly employees.
  • Excellent work ethic and drive to succeed.
  • Sous Chef candidates must be proficient with financials (P&L's, inventory, food / labor cost, etc.)
