Parks & Facilities Maintenance Coordinator

The City of Peoria Parks and Recreation Department has an excellent opportunity for a Parks and Facilities Maintenance Coordinator.

The purpose of this position is to coordinate and oversee daily maintenance of the City's 3 community pools, 36 neighborhood parks, 3 community parks, and the Peoria Sports Complex, while also providing direct support to the Department's Facilities Services division.

The Parks and Facilities Maintenance Coordinator also oversees full-time staff.

The full hiring range for this position is : $70,124 - $86,955, depending on experience.

The ideal candidate for this position will have :

  • Experience in a municipal or governmental setting.
  • Previous supervisory experience.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • High school graduation or equivalency.
  • A minimum of three (3) years of moderate previous experience required in the same or similar previous positions.
  • Three (3) years of facilities experience, including plumbing, lighting and HVAC knowledge.
  • Attainment of Certified Pool Operator (CPO) and Chlorine Safe Handling Certifications within 6 months of hire.
  • Physical stamina and endurance, in addition to having the ability to lift between 10 and 25 pounds.
  • A valid driver's license is required upon hire.
