• Recognizing and communicating abnormal lab values
• Accessing and managing ports

Description :

This position is for a registered nurse specializing in oncology.

The nurse will work primarily during the day shift covering 4x12 or 3x12 hours.

The average daily census in the unit is 24 patients with 24 rooms / beds available.

The nurse will be required to work every other weekend.

First-time travelers are accepted for this position.

Candidates will float to meet facility needs as necessary.

The applicants must be open to discussing schedule requests with management.

Locals are accepted without radius restrictions.

Five days of time-off is ideally preferred during the contract.

The role requires administration of chemotherapy and monitoring related procedures.

IV therapy and infusion skills are essential for this role.

The position involves care and management of patients undergoing oncology treatments.

The nursing staff will receive interdisciplinary support from various services as needed.
