Were currently looking for a compassionate and skilled School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to be part of our team, helping students enhance their communication and academic abilities.
Position Summary
ProCare Therapy seeks an experienced School-Based Speech-Language Pathologist to deliver specialized speech and language therapy to students with diverse learning needs.
This role involves evaluating students' communication abilities, creating tailored therapy plans, and collaborating with educational staff to support each childs developmental and educational goals.
Primary Responsibilities
Assessment and Evaluation : Conduct detailed evaluations to determine students' speech and language strengths and areas of need.
Develop personalized education plans (IEPs) and therapy goals based on assessment findings.
Therapeutic Services : Offer direct therapy services focusing on speech articulation, language development, and communication strategies.
Design activities to promote students' communication skills and facilitate academic success.
Collaborative Support : Work with teachers, special education staff, and families to incorporate speech and language support in daily classroom routines.
Attend IEP meetings, providing guidance on communication aids and adjustments.
- Documentation : Keep accurate records of students' progress, therapy goals, and session notes. Prepare reports for IEP reviews and to meet compliance standards.
- Professional Development : Stay updated on best practices in speech-language therapy and special education. Participate in training sessions to refine skills and expand knowledge.
Qualifications
- Education : Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Licensure : Current, valid Speech-Language Pathologist license in the state.
- Certification : Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
- Experience : Previous experience in a school setting or working with children with varying needs is advantageous. Familiarity with developing and implementing IEPs is preferred.
- Skills : Strong knowledge of speech-language therapy methods and practices. Effective communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
