Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Labor & Delivery RN with at least 2 years of experience and an active OR RN license for night shifts, with strong preference for Epic charting experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in a hospital Labor and Delivery unit
  • Patient ratio is 1 : 3
  • May float to care for stable post-partum couplets in mother / baby as needed
  • Night shift position with 3x12-hour shifts, 19 : 00-07 : 30
  • Charting is done in Epic, with strong preference for prior Epic experience
  • Responsibilities include caring for patients during labor and delivery and floating to mother / baby as required
  • Orientation shifts will be provided for float departments
  • Coverage required for major holidays including Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's
  • Maximum of 7 days of requested time off allowed during the 13-week assignment
  • Modules completed during orientation are required annually
  • Dress code and additional work environment details will be provided during orientation
  • Candidates must provide address documentation for verification of distance

  • Active OR RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience
  • Current BLS and NRP certifications required; PALS preferred
  • Experience with Epic charting strongly preferred but not required
  • First-time travelers will not be considered
  • Candidates must reside more than 75 miles from the facility address
  • No pending references allowed; two professional references from the past year are required, including one manager reference
