Pactiv Bedford Park is a leading Extrusion / Injection Molding facility that produces plates, straws, cutlery, and wrapped cutlery kits for the food service industry.

Built in 1974, our facility has 195,000 total square footage. We host 90 machines including Injection Molding, Extrusion, and Automated Robotic instruments.

We produce approximately 75 million pounds annually and over 400,000 SKUs. We employ over 500 full-time and temporary employees who have helped us attain numerous awards including Quality Performer of the year and Safety Excellence.

Responsibilities

3rd Shift Production Supervisor Duties :

• Manage, direct and coordinate all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity and minimize cost while maintaining quality
• Typically supervises 50 plus employees
• Coordinate with Scheduler to ensure daily production requirements are achieved
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities including interviewing, hiring & training employees
• Planning, assigning & directing work
• Appraising performance
• Rewarding & disciplining employees
• Addressing complaints & resolving problems
• Ensure all production data is gathered and reported correctly on a daily basis
• Support & improve upon Quality initiatives designed to meet plant goals
• Ensures safety programs are implemented effectively, reviewed regularly and revised as necessary

Qualifications

Job Qualifications :

• BA / BS degree preferred (business, engineering)
• 2+ years of manufacturing experience
• Thermoforming and or Extrusion knowledge preferred
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Willing and able to work 7pm-7am on a 2-2-3 schedule
• Good verbal & interpersonal communication skills
• Ability to work well in group situations
• Ability to deal effectively with conflict in mature & consistent manner
• Good computer skills
• SAP experience preferred
