Full-Time935 Redgate AvenueMental HealthDays30.5300 Through 45.7900* GENERAL SUMMARY* The LCSW Clinical Social Worker (CAP) conducts evidence-supported psychotherapy of maltreated children and families.
Reports to the Executive Director of CAP.* ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES* Evaluates children for symptoms of trauma and its impact and determines treatment and other needs.
- Conducts evaluation of parents and other adults to determine their capacity to care for children in a healthy way.* Assimilates and summarizes data generated from evaluation and writes a thorough report including findings and recommendations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.* LICENSES AND / OR CERTIFICATIONS* Current Virginia license as a License Clinical Social Worker (LSCW).
- MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS* Approximately six to twelve months on-the-job experience preferred.* Knowledge of child development.
- Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.* Experience in evaluation and treatment of child maltreatment population and their families.
- Experience in implementing evidence-based treatments with children and families.* Ability to work with multidisciplinary approach.
- Ability to work as a team player within a multidisciplinary approach.* Experience in working with investigative agencies and community resources.
- Increased Security Clearance may be Required : Recurring FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, Child Protective Services registry search, and Dru Sjodin National Sex Offender.
- Increased Security Clearance Required for Job Roles in Medical Tower II : FBI fingerprinting, criminal background check, and Child Protective Services registry search.
