About The Job
This position is needed to help launch a new LLM powered application from prototype to production. This new product will leverage the power of Twilio CustomerAI to create a new developer platform that allows builders to rapidly build personalized interactions for all customers.
As an early member of this team, the challenges will be great and the path will not always be clear. We are seeking a staff fullstack software engineer to help ensure we are making the right trade offs on our path to product market fit while laying a strong foundation for our future success.

Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll :
- Build both our control plane and application from the ground up
- Work closely with customers and our prototyping team, enabling us to quickly test new ideas while continuously delivering value and a stable experience to our customers
- Collaborate with subject matter experts, fellow developers, and internal stakeholders to turn business goals into achievable technical roadmaps
- Rapidly acquire new technical skills and knowledge in a fast-paced, high-delivery environment

Required
- Strong customer focus, taking the time to really understand their needs and ensure we are solving their problems.
- Ability to adapt to new technologies and quickly become an expert in those technologies
- Experience moving quickly in a fast paced, startup environment.
- 4+ years experience writing production-grade code in a modern programming language (language agnostic)
- 3+ years experience building UI products using frontend frameworks
- Experience crafting APIs, you understand that a good API contract is a critical part of a good customer experience
- Experience with JavaScript, Node.js, TypeScript, React (or similar frameworks), and CSS
- Owned and operated services end-to-end, from requirements gathering and design, to debugging and testing, to release management and operational monitoring
- Demonstrated commitment to seeking diverse viewpoints and acting with intention to create an inclusive team environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Your knowledge is only as good as your ability to share it!
Desired
- Experience with prompt engineering and building application experiences with LLMs
- Strong understanding of UX patterns and are passionate about building intuitive UIs that customers will love
- Experience managing AWS infrastructure
- Familiar with CI / CD pipelines and test automation for Node.js applications
Location
This role will be remote and located in the USA. Approximately
