Roles and Responsibilities :

Scope of responsibility also includes simulation and verification of FPGA / CPLD designs, requirements, and system validation

  • Candidate is required to have knowledge of modern digital design and verification concepts
  • Communicate effectively with members of cross functional teams and program management
  • Opportunity to advance and form the verification process for wireless products
  • Proven ability to drive complex technical problems to closure
  • Proven ability to lead product delivery Position may be considered at a higher grade based on the requirements below. *Basic Qualifications Principal Digital Engineer : *
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 5 years of digital verification engineering experience using industry standard simulation tools;

3 years with an MS degree; 0 years with PhD.

  • Hands-on experience in VHDL within the last 3 years
  • FPGA development process experience (requirements definition, conceptual design, detailed design, verification, and production release)
  • Experience developing verification plans, test benches, bus functional models, and HW-SW integration debugging
  • Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tools such as QuestaSim

Clearance : * Candidate must have an active or current / in-scope Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain higher level clearances *Basic Qualifications Senior Principal Digital Engineer : *

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or other STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline with 9 years of digital verification engineering experience using industry standard simulation tools;

7 years with an MS degree; 4 years with PhD.

  • Experience in VHDL design and verification methodologies for wireless systems
  • FPGA development process experience (requirements definition, conceptual design, detailed design, verification, and production release)
  • Experience developing verification plans, test benches, bus functional models, and HW-SW integration debugging
  • Experience with Electronic Design Automation (EDA) Tools such as QuestaSim

Clearance : * Candidate must have an active or current / in-scope Secret Clearance with the ability to obtain higher level clearances *Preferred Qualifications Principal and Senior Principal : *

  • Experience with scripting languages for Verification automation (Perl, TCL, Bash, and Makefile)
  • Knowledge of Computer Architectures and Digital design (Memories, bus standards, microprocessors)
  • Experience with functional verification methodology for the full life cycle of products
  • SoC verification and hardware accelerated simulation experience MSSDEAS *Salary Range : *$118,000 - $177,000 *Salary Range 2 : *$146,300 - $219,500 The above salary range represents a general guideline;

however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results.

Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and / or personal business.
