Experienced Senior Tax Associate Job Description
Responsibilities
Preparation and review of corporate, partnership, trust, and individual income tax returns
Work independently and collaboratively with tax team
Produce accurate and timely tax projections and filings
Perform research projects in response to client issues and inquiries
Utilize high level of effective organization and time management skills to manage multiple engagements
Participate in firm marketing activities and commit to providing superior client service
International tax research and preparation
Plan tax engagements and coordinate and oversee staff to meet concurrent deadlines
Respond to inquiries from regulatory agencies and provide support for federal and state audits
Support client accounting functions related to general ledger classifications, adjusting entries and assisting with tax accruals
Support and collaborate with affiliated domestic and international Moore Global firms
Direct supervision of 5 employees (4 tax staff professionals and 1 tax staff intern)
Requirements and skills
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or another related field
5+ years of Tax experience
CPA License
Knowledge of Axcess and XCM is a plus
Excellent communication skills (verbal and written)
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced business environment
Organizational and time management skills
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to successfully interact with direct reports and various levels of business unit management
Ability to solve problems in a timely manner, using research and reasoning to develop solutions
Ability to occasionally travel to client locations
Must have proficiency in MS Office (MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint, in particular)
