Responsibilities : Position Summary :
Position Summary :
The athletic trainer will provide physician support and outreach, assisting with day-to-day operations by rooming patients, providing patient intake and review of necessary records relevant to the patient visit.
The athletic trainer will assist with patient prep and education, post-operative procedures, DME fitting / ordering, gait training and other duties as requested.
Additionally, the athletic trainer may provide instruction for in home exercise programs and conduct any other biomechanical assessments.
Will also provide casting services ordered by the physician and assist with the daily administration of clinic duties. Provides leadership and guidance to athletic trainers for the rehabilitation of all levels of athletic injury.

Required Qualifications :
Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties
Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job
Manual therapy skills applicable to orthopedics and sports medicine
Knowledge of athletic injury prevention and the administration of therapeutic modalities, devices and rehabilitation techniques
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
Demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Athletic Trainer Certification (ATC)
Ability to work as a collaborative team member
Ability to read and understand medical terminology
Ability to problem solve, prioritize and organize work
Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System
Preferred Qualifications :
Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms
