Job Summary

Reporting to the Medical Surgical Nursing Manager of North 6, provides assistance with nursing care of patients as needed under the direction and supervision of licensed nursing personnel.

Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Services Department and regulatory agencies.

The Nursing Assistant is accountable for the aspects of nursing care they are directed to provide within their scope of practice.

Minimum Qualifications

Education

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience

Minimum of one year acute care experience or medical / surgical clinical experience preferred.

Licensure and / or Certification

BLS healthcare provider required.

Certified Nursing Assistant preferred.

Skills

Ability to take vitals.

Communication skills.

Interpersonal skills.

Computer skills.

Ability to maintain confidential information.

Excellent customer service skills.
