Exciting Direct Hire Opportunity. A well-established long-treatment provider in the Kaufman TX area is looking for an experienced Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) to join their team.

Job Function :

The principal actor in the delivery of services in the substance use program, reporting directly to the Clinical Director.

Duties and responsibilities shall include the following :

Essential Functions :

LPC plans and directs counseling activities in conjunction with the Clinical Director.

LPC completes duties in a professional and timely manner.

Ensures that all records are accurate and timely.

Ensures that all records are available for DSHS.

Licensed Professional Counselor initiates social service assessments of clients, including gathering social histories and other required treatment documentation.

Coordinates with the Clinical Director to ensure consistency of treatment.

Conducts assessments.

Assists in the development of client treatment plans.

Facilitates groups and lectures for clients daily.

Responsible for client case management services.

Licensed Professional Counselor responsible for all needed co-lateral communication to payers, families, referents, and legal authorities as permitted by confidentiality laws and consents for release of information on file for the client.

Is responsible for general documentation of client records on caseload.

Attending staff meetings as scheduled and as needed.

Is a contributing member of the treatment team.

Maintains client confidentiality.

Protects client’s rights.

Reports to Clinical Director, Executive Director, and Chief Operating Officer.

Qualifications :

Shall have State license or certification in Texas (e.g. LCDC, LPC, LMSW, Etc.);

Preferred three years of experience in substance abuse counseling and / or mental health treatment.

Strongly preferred working knowledge of 12-step programming (AA, CA, Al-Anon).

Master level clinicians preferred.

Annual Salary : $60K - $90K plus excellent full benefits to include CE classes paid for by the company
