Job Summary
We are seeking a Registered Nurse to provide direct and indirect patient care in the surgical care setting. The ideal candidate will use the nursing process consistent with acceptable standards of the profession and the medical group practice.
This role requires delivering high quality patient-centered care, determining priorities of care based on patient needs, and effectively communicating with the healthcare providers.
Core Job Responsibilities
- Gather and document relevant clinical data to support the delivery of care
- Participate in identifying individual patient needs for upcoming appointments
- Serve as a clinical liaison between patients and providers
- Communicate effectively with the care team to coordinate the plan of care
- Support providers during in-office procedures and examinations
- Provide outreach and education to patients as part of quality improvement initiatives
- Perform duties within the scope of practice to the highest level of licensure
- Provide direct support and guidance to other members of the care team
- Conduct assessment data collection on all patients utilizing tools / forms in EMR
- Deliver medication utilizing the five (5) rights and observe patient for desired untoward effects
Education / Experience Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing or nursing program
- Current Registered Nursing registration
- BLS Certification
- Minimum one year of nursing experience
- Basic computer and EMR knowledge
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Licensure / Certification Requirements
- BSN from accredited nursing program
- Experience in a specialty medical office
- Certifications applicable to the assigned office's specialty
