Entry Level Qualifications
High School Diploma or GED required. Possess a pleasant telephone voice. Must be able to assess and control conversations.
Excellent verbal communication skills required, as well as, interpersonal, customer service, and organizational skills. Must be computer literate and able to type 20-30 WPM accurately.
Must be able to see 20 / 40 corrected in each eye and hear (hearing aid acceptable). Must be able to sit continuously for 6 to 7 hours per 8-hour shift.
This role requires contact with potentially impaired clients seeking help.
General Responsibilities :
To answer and manage a large volume of incoming calls and route them to the correct person or department. Greet customers that come into the business and assist them with the registration for admission process.
Know and abide by the general provisions of 42 CFR Part 2, Confidentiality of Alcohol and Drug Abuse Patient Records ; and 45 CFR Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act .
This position has restricted access to patient health information.
Essential Functions :
1. Regular attendance
2. Greet visitors and give directions.
3. Assist clients in the registration process; includes using carts to move luggage to baggage areas.
4. Pleasantly answer and screen incoming calls and assist staff with in-house calls.
5. Process outgoing and incoming mail, including U.S. postage and other special services.
6. Keep inventory of office supplies, when necessary.
7. Ensure cleanliness of the main conference room and lobby area.
8. Must be able to work in a constant state of alertness as to perform the job in a safe manner.
9. Must be ability to work in a cooperative manner with co-workers, managers, clients and prospective clients.
10. Must be emotionally and physically capable of functioning under stressful situations.
11. Other duties as assigned.
