The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for providing direction and leadership for the management and supervision of all repair shop personnel.
Responsible for operational success and assisting and defining strategy / direction in accordance with maintenance and city schools' policies and procedures.
This position is considered essential personnel for emergency situations including inclement weather.

Essential Functions
Plans and oversees facility maintenance activities, including inspecting the work performed by in-house maintenance personnel and external contractors.
These operations include working with schools and maintenance teams for the daily monitoring of addressing and resolving work orders in accordance with the blitz schedule, responsiveness to emergencies, and maintaining inventory.
- Monitors Facilities Maintenance budget for labor hours and material purchases. Assists in the preparation of the Maintenance budget.
- Monitors the use of Asset Essentials for all Facility Maintenance related work orders as well as the blitz schedule
- Inspects the work of those engaged in various facility maintenance activities such as minor maintenance repairs, locksmith work, pipefitter / plumbing, electricians, and painters.
- Utilizes resources appropriately to complete work in the most efficient manner; proactively communicates the status of work;
participates and contributes fully as a team member; and exercises sound judgment and decision-making skills to resolve sensitive matters.
- Conducts routine, frequent meetings with staff regarding environmental compliance operations process and procedures
- Coordinates work schedules and attendance to meet the needs of school and administrative facilities.
- Plans and monitors preventive maintenance program for all facility maintenance related equipment.
- Participates in the selection and hiring of employees; takes disciplinary action as required.
- Performs employee evaluations and employee performance development when needed.
- Maintains confidential and sensitive information.
- Manages day to day operations of Repair shop and team.
- Oversees storeroom process and employees and ensures inventory levels are appropriate.
- Engages with other senior project managers and directors to address school and district facility concerns.
- Assures compliance with safety rules and regulations. Enforces relevant regulations to provide the safest workplace possible.

Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.
- Five years' experience in building maintenance experience, including experience in the preparation of plans, specifications and cost estimates.
- Other equivalent combinations of education and professional construction project management experience may be considered
- Ability to evaluate the urgency of building construction and renovation needs and to establish priorities
