Primary Function of Position

As a C ase M anager, your primary function will be to provide crucial services to newly arrived refugees, helping them to settle in and develop a plan for achieving self-sufficiency during their initial period in the U.

S. You will take on the responsibility of ensuring that the service delivery system is highly responsive to the unique needs of each client throughout their service period.

To achieve this, you will provide comprehensive case management services that adhere to the R eception and Placement Cooperative Agreement , Match Grant Guidelines, PC - Intake and Referrals for Ukrainians, Refugee Coordinated Case Management , and other relevant case management grants as needed.

Major Position Responsibilities

• Case Management Compliance : F ollow the six steps of resettlement case management when completing all significant responsibilities :
• Intake / Assessment
• Planning
• Coordination of Services
• Follow-up Monitoring
• Case Advocacy
• Record Keeping
• Client Services : Provid e R&P, Match Grant , PC-IRU, and RCCM services, including but not limited to :
• Providing home safety orientation
• Assisting with applications for social security cards and public benefits at DWS
• Assisting with housing lease signing and utility setup
• Helping clients develop skills in public transportation, budgeting and bill payment, home maintenance, ESL and public-school enrollment, housing applications, and other relevant areas.
• Coordination of Services : Coordinate self-sufficiency plans, service integration, and agency collaboration to meet clients' needs.
• Community Cooperation : Facilitate cooperation and coordination with community partners who can help clients meet their needs and achieve their resettlement goals.
• Volunteer Collaboration : Collaborate directly with the Volunteer Coordinator and volunteers to utilize services that best meet the client's needs.
• Documentation : Document all case management services and client interactions in case notes and other required forms.
• Case File Maintenance : Maintain case files in compliance with case management grants.
• Financial Responsibility : Ensure financial responsibility of cases by developing budgets with clients and instructing them about financial responsibility and self-sufficiency.
• Meeting Participation : Attend regularly scheduled case management and staff meetings.
• Interpretation and Translation : Provide interpretation and translation services as necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

• The work environment is a professional office setting that uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines.
• This is an onsite position; remote work is only possible in extenuating circumstances at the discretion of the Executive Director, Program Director, and Program Manager.
• Some local travel may be required , and personal vehicles may be needed when CCS vehicles are un available.

Physical Demands

This is primari ly a sedentary role but does involve some filing. The ability to lift files, open filing cabinets, and bend or stand as necessary is required .

• Language Proficiency : Strongly preferred proficiency in Arabic , Sudanese, Swahili, or Somali

Education, Training , and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
• 1+ years working as a case manager or similar role
• Experience working with refugees, immigrants, or diverse populations

Background S creen / BCI requirement

Must pass a national BCI / FBI background check.

Licenses, certifications , and credentials

Current Utah driver's license, proof of auto insurance with minimum policy liability limits of $50,000 per person and $100,000 per incident, 21 years of age or older, a clean driving record, and ability to meet CCS vehicle safety requirements.

P osition status and expected schedule

• This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
• The work schedule is Monday through Friday from 8 : 30 am to 5 : 00 pm, with occasional flexibility to work past 5 : 00 pm if necessary, such as when a night arrival is scheduled.
