Regional Market Access Associate Director - Oncology

The position :

The Regional Market Access Associate Director for Oncology is a member of the Latin America Market Access Team while also representing Market Access at the Regional Cross Functional teams (Commercial, Medical Affairs, Policy, Outcomes Research) for public markets.

The incumbent will partner with the Global Market Access team, Regional Market Access team, and Country Market Access teams to develop and implement comprehensive patient access strategies consistent with the Latin America Leadership Team priorities.

Main Responsibilities :

  • Partner with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Policy, and Outcomes Research teams within the region to deliver the integrated Regional Market Access Strategy.
  • Partner with GMAx, Policy, Global Medical and Scientific Affairs, and Center for Observational and Real-world Evidence to drive funding allocation, reimbursement, and affordability solutions for private segments.
  • Create and adapt Market Access Content (i.e., Payer Value Decks, Payer Visual Aids, Calculators) articulating the Board of Directors / Healthcare Resource Utilization and unmet needs with the clinical and economic value meeting company and local guidelines.
  • Partner with Regional Center for Observational and Real-world Evidence and local Outcomes Research colleagues in the development of real-world evidence and economic analyses to substructure value demonstration.
  • Ensure alignment of local data generation studies proposals, consistent with country value demonstration requirements, working closely with the Center for Observational and Real-world Evidence and Medical Affairs.
  • Gather stakeholder inputs (i.e., Expert Input Forums, Market Research, News / Reports / Publications) to identify drivers and barriers to achieve reimbursement and maximize patient access in public markets.
  • Shape the Healthcare agenda through cross-functional policy & external affairs capabilities to broaden access to products.
  • Assist the pricing strategy and identify innovative pricing schemes aligned with global pricing strategy to ensure product uptake.

Required Qualifications and Skills :

  • Bachelor's degree with a master’s degree in business administration, public health / epidemiology, health policy, or health economics.
  • Local / regional experience in one or more of the following functional areas : Market Access, Pricing, Affordability, Health Technology Assessment, Health Policy in the Life Sciences industry is required.
  • Proven track record in achieving patient access in the public and private sector for Oncology therapies is required.
  • Comprehension of healthcare system archetypes and value frameworks followed by health technology agencies of major Latin America countries (Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Mexico).
  • Demonstrated ability to identify optimal reimbursement pathways, consistent with the brand strategy, in a rapidly evolving market access landscape.
  • Strong ability to partner across the organization.
  • Excellent relationship, influencing, negotiating, and conflict resolution skills.
  • Strong commercial orientation and business acumen.
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.
  • Strong project management and operational skills.
  • Fluent in English and Spanish or Portuguese.
