Under direct supervision, the Material Handler 1 operates forklifts or other mobile equipment to perform routine moving, staging, loading or unloading of materials, supplies or products within or near plant, yard, warehouse or work site.
Hours : 6AM-2PM Monday through Friday
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
- Transports raw materials, supplies, products and / or finished goods to and from storage or production lines and places them in designated area
- Actively participates in continuous improvement and corrective action activities
- Completes all necessary paperwork and transactions, including scanning requirements
- Perform housekeeping, 5-S, and other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum
High School diploma or equivalent, or attain ACT WorkKeys Assessment at certified job profile skill level
Prefered
- 3+ months of experience operating mobile equipment in a manufacturing or shipping environment
- Mobile equipment certification
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Basic computer skills
- Time Management - prioritizing work to meet internal and / or external customer demands
- Detail Oriented - ensures accuracy of product and documentation to meet internal and / or external customer demands
- Good communication skills
- Mobile equipment operations skills
