OverviewThe VNS Health Nurse Residency Program is designed to empower recent RN graduates with hands-on clinical experience and training to develop the next generation of expert home care clinicians.
This two-year, full time, hybrid training program for RNs with minimal or no clinical experience combines in-depth classroom instruction delivered in-person and virtually, a caseload of patient visits guided by preceptor supervision, and mentorship from our esteemed nurse educators.

Reviews experiences in group debriefs* Practice in the community with a preceptor as part of an interdisciplinary care team* Deliver personalized nursing and care management to patients in their home or care facilities* Constantly evaluate evolving patient needs and respond with plan of care adjustments* Achieve continued professional growth through attendance at in-services, training, continued formal education and select journal readershipQualifications* Recently received RN license* Degree in Nursing from an approved program required* No prior work experience in nursing required* Must be able to walk up and down steps to access patient residences
