Speech-Language Pathologist in Emporia, Kansas
As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for managing a caseload of approximately 30 K-12 students. You will provide high-quality speech and language services to support students' communication needs, working collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other educational professionals to help students achieve their full potential.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for students.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on assessment results.
- Provide direct therapy services to students in individual and group settings.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting treatment plans as needed.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support student success.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for services.
- Stay current with best practices and evidence-based interventions in speech-language pathology.
Qualifications :
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA.
- Current Kansas state licensure or ability to obtain prior to start date.
- Experience in school-based settings preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage a caseload of K-12 students effectively.
