The Private Banking Portfolio Manager effectively manages the existing as well as a prospective Private Client portfolio of personal and commercial loan relationships.

Responsibilities :

  • Analyze, synthesize, and communicate effectively, complex financial data.
  • Assist the Banker and Underwriter in the Level of Interest process and presentation.
  • Input and manage loan opportunities in Salesforce, monitoring activity from input through execution.
  • Lead weekly sales pipeline calls with Managing Director, Private Bankers, Credit Support and Loan Assistants
  • Post loan execution ensure that all covenants and financial reporting requirements have been input in the collateral tracking system correctly;

verify any required covenant language is the same as in the loan approval / loan agreement.

  • Provide quality control of executed loans, checking internal systems to insure loans are booked with the correct rate, maturity, officer, etc.
  • Oversee the monitoring of Private Banking portfolio, including tracking and testing loan / financial covenants and assist in the clearing of exceptions.
  • Oversee the monitoring of renewals and maturities as well as gather updated documents from clients.
  • Maximize Bank profitability through appropriate pricing of loans, generating fee income and cross-selling of all Bank products and services.
  • Order inspections, review / budget, administer draw and funding process for Private Banking commercial and residential construction loans.
  • Assist the Banker with negotiation of terms and loan structure based on risk considerations, and present credits for approval according to the Bank’s Loan Policy.
  • Ensure all loans adhere to the credit / financial requirements for quality and compliance as determined by the Bank’s Loan Policy.
  • Assist Banker with any Problem Loan Reports with an active participation in presentation of the reports in monthly Special Asset Committee meetings.
  • Support the Bank’s strong Relationship Banking culture through on-going client contact, providing extraordinary service and superior product knowledge.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of all bank products.
  • Interact with internal and external clients while providing extraordinary service.
  • Develop and maintain trusted, positive relationships with employees, clients and vendors.
  • Represent the Bank and the Private Banking team in a highly professional manner.
  • Complete job assignments in a professional, timely and efficient manner; organize and prioritize work.
  • Maintain confidentiality; adhere to CrossFirst Bank policies and procedures; comply with laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Reliable and predictable on-site attendance

Qualifications :

  • Demonstrated success working in a high performing commercial bank with a focus on Private Banking.
  • Knowledge of Private Banking loan and deposit products and services.
  • Demonstrated success building relationships, strategic partners, and developing business with high net worth clients.
  • Experience in consumer and commercial lending including but not limited to : Residential Mortgages, Construction Lending, Personal Secured / Unsecured Lines of Credit, Commercial Real Estate (across all asset classes), C & I Finance, Specialized Lending (aircraft / art / maritime) etc.
  • Strong financial analysis and credit underwriting skills.
  • Ability to analyze and understand personal financial statements, company balance sheet & income statements, personal and corporate tax returns.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Applications, Outlook, Word and Excel is a must.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is preferred or equivalent work experience.
  • Advanced degree or bank specific continuing education preferred.

The pay range for this position in Colorado is typically $80,000 to $120,000 salaried. The actual pay will be based on various factors, including but not limited to work location, qualifications, and experience.

The starting pay may be above or below the stated range. This role is eligible for one or more incentive plans based on company and individual performance.
