Subaru of New England is the exclusive distributor of Subaru vehicles and parts to all Subaru retailers in the six New England states.

A key player on the marketing team, the Copywriter & Content Specialist, affects all functions of the department with the primary focus on copywriting.

This individual will assist with creating and editing copy and content across all platforms, including broadcast media, digital marketing, social media, print, in-store signage, and more.

This role works most directly with the Senior Copywriter / Marketing Operations Manager and the Senior Manager, Brands & Communications, yet will also partner and lend support to all other departments and outside partners.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES include, but are not limited to the following :

  • Create copy for broadcast media, digital marketing, print, signage, etc. for Subaru of New England and other external brands, ensuring engaging and brand-specific communication.
  • Assist with reviewing, editing, and approving marketing materials before final production and dissemination.
  • Assist with traffic of advertising to external media accounts.
  • Assist with the creation of content and copy for the social media platforms of six distinct brands.
  • Assist with the creation of content using Canva or Adobe creative suite.
  • Support in-house marketing team with projects from other internal departments and external clients.
  • Support multiple promotional events across the brands both from content creation and physical hands-on event presence.
  • Other marketing projects and duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and / or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelors Degree in communication, English, journalism, or marketing preferred.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in producing copy for marketing, broadcast media (TV, Radio, etc.), public relations, or advertising.

Agency or automotive industry experience a plus.

  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of an organization and the public.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Ability to adjust writing style to accommodate intended medium, brand, etc.
  • Proficiency in all social media platforms.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite : Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint as well as other graphic design software, i.e. Canva or Adobe.
