Instructional Aide, St. Brendan, Bothell

St. Brendan Catholic School in Bothell is seeking an instructional aide. This is a full-time position Monday-Friday. This position will work primarily with our elementary students.

St. Brendan Catholic School is located in Bothell, WA (25 minutes from Seattle, WA). This is a .5 FTE position 20 hours per week.

We have one class per grade in preschool through 8

grade with a total of 266 students. The mission of St. Brendan Catholic School, in partnership with parents and the parish community, is to educate and empower students to act as Disciples of Christ, pursue academic excellence, and serve the Church and global community.

We have an active parent community as well as a supportive and engaging parish priest who enjoys spending time in the school.

Candidates must be practicing Catholics who are committed to sharing our Catholic faith with students and guiding students to achieve high academic standards.

Candidates should have good organizational and interpersonal skills. We are looking for a motivated and mission driven educator to be part of our supportive and faith-filled school community.

The candidate for this position will :

• Ensure that the classroom atmosphere fosters and reflects the Catholic faith, encourages Christian leadership, and integrates Catholic values into daily classroom activities;
• Assist with the classroom management system under the direction of the teacher;
• Provide supervision at recess;
• Help maintain neat and orderly classroom;
• Assist teacher with preparation of materials for instruction;
• Function as an appropriate role model for children;
• Provide small group and 1 : 1 instruction in collaboration with the classroom teacher;
• Co-plan classroom activities and deliver lessons in collaboration with the classroom teacher;
• Provide students with proper examples, emotional support, and a friendly attitude and general guidance;
• Help supervise students throughout school day, inside and outside classroom;
• Keep teacher informed of special needs or problems of individual students;
• Help with the organization of our student safety patrol;
• Ability to collaborate with colleagues;
• Participates in appropriate staff development programs;

The range of hourly rate is $18-$24 per hour.. Any offered salary is determined based on internal equity, internal salary ranges, market data, applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, degrees, and certifications.
