JobResponsibilities :

RepresentativeDuties : The duties listed are typical but notexclusive.

• Identifywith the help of parents and the school team students who needcommunication assessments.
• Assessstudents communication skills using appropriate test instrumentsparent and teacher interviews and record reviews and observationsrelating to the speech and language needs of classroomlearning.
• Develop and implementindividualized education programs (IEP) for students who qualifyfor services under current federal and state regulations and localpolicies within legal timelines in collaboration with parents andschool teams.
• Document outcomes forstudents with communicationdisorders.
• Collaborate with teachersand other school staff in developing and providing interventionstrategies that foster students understanding speaking reading andwriting skills that meet the demands of general school activitiesthrough inservices or personal communication withthem.
• Prepare student progressreports and communicate with parents on such through personalmeetings and / or phoneconversations.

Requirements

• Masters Degree in Speech Pathology or a closely relatedfield.
• ASHA CCCs and current SLPlicense for state.
• 2 years ofexperience with schools as anSLP.
• Experience with online tools(Microsoft Teams Google Classroom Zoom etc.) will be a BIGplus.
